You will guide and support staff development, cultivate a culture of ongoing learning, and oversee professional growth initiatives statewide.

This is your opportunity to shape how victims of crime are supported — influencing both internal practice and external stakeholder engagement across Queensland's justice system. In this role, you will:

  • Mentor and support staff through reflective practice, coaching, and expert guidance
  • Lead best practice initiatives and support complex, high-risk case management
  • Deliver training and drive continuous capability-building within the team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance engagement, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and culturally diverse groups
  • Provide strategic input into victim-related policies, service improvements, and legislative requirements

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in complex case management, especially in victim services or the criminal justice system
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and foster inclusive practice
  • A commitment to trauma-informed and culturally safe service delivery
  • Relevant qualifications in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work or Human Services (postgrad qualifications in coaching/supervision highly regarded)

Why Join Us?

  • Make a difference in the lives of victims of crime
  • Be a strategic leader in a supportive and forward-thinking team
  • Access flexible work options, learning programs and career development
  • Work in a values-led agency that promotes professionalism, integrity, and innovation
