Three exciting opportunities to lead transformational change in Queensland's correctional system.

Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) is seeking three experienced and passionate Change Leads to join the Community Corrections and Specialist Operations (CCSO) Program Management Office (PMO). These roles offer a unique chance to shape the future of corrections and contribute to safer communities through strategic reform.

About Us

QCS delivers modern, evidence-based correctional services focused on rehabilitation and crime prevention. Our diverse workforce is united by a shared commitment to professionalism, ethics, and respect. The CCSO division provides specialised services to support offenders in the community and the Parole Board Queensland, and is currently undergoing significant transformation.

The CCSO PMO plays a critical role in delivering strategic projects aligned with QCS's broader reform agenda. As part of this team, you'll be at the forefront of change, helping to embed new ways of thinking and working across the organisation.

About the Role

As a Change Lead, you will define, plan, and manage change and communication strategies to support the successful implementation of key projects.

You will:

  • Lead the development and execution of best-practice change management plans tailored to diverse correctional environments across Queensland.
  • Collaborate with project teams, business units, and change champions to embed change and build resilience.
  • Drive business readiness activities in partnership with the Business Integration Manager.
  • Develop and deliver targeted communication and engagement strategies that inform, inspire, and align stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice to senior leaders on change progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships across QCS to support a smooth transition to new systems, processes, and ways of working.

About You

You are a strategic thinker and skilled communicator with a passion for leading change in complex environments.

You bring:

  • Proven experience in delivering change and communication strategies within largescale projects or programs.
  • High-level knowledge of contemporary change management frameworks and stakeholder engagement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of project management and business integration processes.
  • Ability to translate business changes into effective communication and engagement plans.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with experience producing a range of collateral from formal reports to digital content.
  • Experience in justice or human services environments is highly regarded.

Qualifications in change management, project management, human services, or criminology are highly desirable. Change management certification is also advantageous.
