Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Officer to join the Community Corrections and Specialist Operations (CCSO) Program Management Office (PMO). The CCSO division delivers specialised services to offenders under communitybased supervision and supports the Parole Board Queensland. The division is undergoing significant transformation, and the PMO plays a key role in ensuring successful project delivery aligned with strategic goals.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Officer, you will support the delivery of strategic initiatives across the CCSO PMO.
You will:
- Coordinate and contribute to complex data analysis, forecasting, and research to inform project planning and delivery.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations for executive leadership.
- Monitor project performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Apply contemporary project management methodologies to assess, design, implement, and evaluate initiatives.
- Work both independently and collaboratively in a high-performing, adaptable team environment.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has demonstrated experience in project coordination, evaluation, and reporting in a complex environment.
- Can deliver outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Has knowledge of the criminal justice sector and experience implementing business improvement solutions.
- Is a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences.
