Principal Project Officer
Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct; Office of the Chief Practitioner; Chief Practitioner; Brisbane
Lead in the development, implementation and project management of departmental and whole-of-government programs and strategies in relation to the implementation of the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024.
Provide timely and effective high-level advice on operational program, service and policy issues to ensure the department complies with the child safe standards and reportable conduct scheme, to meet its obligations as a child safe organisation.

As Principal Project Officer you will:
- Develop, manage and implement projects and programs that support the effective delivery of services relevant to the business unit, including establishing a reportable conduct unit in the Office of the Chief Practitioner.
- Provide high level program management advice and direction in relation to compliance with the child safe standards and implementation of an effective system to respond to reportable conduct.
- Identify information from a wide range of sources and provide strategic analysis and advice on complex operation program, policy and legislative issues relating to the programs and initiatives delivered by the business unit.
- Coordinate day-to-day operations to deliver on project outcomes that support the department's capacity to deliver and maintain quality services.
- Provide high level liaison, consultation and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders towards the development and implementation of whole-of-government policy and program initiatives relating to the programs and initiatives delivered by the business unit.
- Ensure that service delivery arrangements support the department's program and strategic intent.
- Provide high level analysis, advice and recommendations of innovative approaches to new trends and issues that impact on service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.
