Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct; Office of the Chief Practitioner; Chief Practitioner; Brisbane
Effectively lead and manage the Child Safe Organisation team to prepare the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety for the staged commencement of the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024. The Child Safe Organisations Act 2024 establishes Queensland’s child safety system and will require the department the comply with the child safe standards and for Child Safety to participate in the reportable conduct scheme, with oversight by the Queensland Family and Child Commission.

As Manager you will:
- Lead the implementation of operational processes to establish a reportable conduct unit in the Office of the Chief Practitioner.
- Prepare and manage complex, sensitive and/or contentious reports and other special projects as determined by senior management.
- Manage and provide strategic, high level advice to support the activities of the department and senior management.
- Build organisational capability and responsiveness to children's safety and wellbeing by supporting the implementation of child safe standards, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Cultivate, manage and sustain positive working relationships through effective communication with senior management, team members and key stakeholders including the Queensland Family and Child Commission, and other relevant government and non-government agencies by being responsive to client and stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Provide leadership, advice/consultancy, professional supervision and mentoring to staff regarding processes.
