QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About the role:
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing analysis and assurance of business performance processes throughout all aspects of QBuild's commercial, financial and operational performance. This is a temporary 12 month position (with view to extension).
Duties and skills involved:
- Providing accurate and timely advice to the Director and section leaders on commercial aspects of operation including financial performance such as revenue and expenditure forecasting, resourcing, profitability, customer programs and projects, as well as financial compliance.
- Coordinating the commercial activities and performance through compiling budgets and monitoring performance, especially work order management, whilst ensuring a visible and agreed integration platform.
- Reviewing the operations of the administrative, project administration and contract administration functions to ensure that services meet the needs of our partners.
- Supporting management to ensure timely and accurate reporting on services provided against agreed performance indicators.
- Reviewing budgets in line with business plan targets, monitoring performance against such plans and budgets, and taking remedial action where necessary.
- Reviewing and developing business systems and implementing any changes or enhancements.
- Contributing to the development, implementation and review of the business plan, fee levels, performance indicators and service levels to ensure they meet customer and business requirements.
- Monitoring and reviewing the performance of project teams to ensure project time, cost and quality requirements are consistently met.
- Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff, promoting the values of equity, diversity, respect and inclusion.
