About us
With branches in Rockhampton, Mackay and Barcaldine and a site office in Emerald, the Transport and Main Roads Program Delivery and Operations (PDO) Central Queensland Region (CQ Region) looks after 9076km of state-controlled roads and about 1510km of the National Road Network. This role will contribute to the development and delivery of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).
The CQ Region covers an area of about 604,824km2, approximately 34.9% of Queensland. Its landscape ranges from beautiful coastal areas adjoining the Great Barrier Reef and rainforests to the rugged outback with breathtaking rock formations. The region has an estimated residential population of 422,141 people.

In the role of OO4 Cadet Inspector (Roadworks) you will be exposed to the inspection of new construction works, routine, programmed, rehabilitation and reactive maintenance contracts, third party road corridor works such as public utility plant and developer works and support the management of critical incident and declared disaster events, ensuring delivery of high standards of quality, economy, governance, and safety are achieved.
In the role of OO5 Inspector (Roadworks) you will inspect new construction works, routine, programmed, rehabilitation and reactive maintenance contracts, third party road corridor works such as public utility plant and developer works and support the management of critical incident and declared disaster events, ensuring delivery of high standards of quality, economy, governance, and safety are achieved.
Please indicate in your application which role you would like to be considered for, either the OO4 Cadet Inspector (Roadworks) or the OO5 Inspector (Roadworks), otherwise we will consider you for both roles.
