In this newly created role, you will:

  • Assist in the development and shaping of the strategic workforce planning function within a large complex frontline service agency
  • Lead delivery of strategic workforce objectives and transformative HR initiatives across a range of work environments
  • Lead and support an AO6 Senior HR Advisor to develop and deliver strategic HR initiatives
  • Provide valued advice to executive and senior management to guide workforce planning activities.

Your strategic vision will inform business planning, policy direction, risk management, and continuous improvement across our agency's workforce priorities.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the implementation of key activities, reporting and evaluation of the QCS Strategic Workforce Plan.
  • Lead, manage and deliver a diverse range of HR projects and initiatives that contribute to QCS and public sector objectives, including providing input to business and project plans
  • Develop strong and collaborative partnerships through internal consultation and collaboration to drive continuous improvement for HR and workforce matters impacting our leaders.
  • Support implementation of contemporary workforce planning strategies across a variety of work environments that deliver real benefits and meet identified needs
  • Monitor the internal and external environment to identify risks and opportunities, inform future strategy development and identify contemporary workforce initiatives
  • Prepare high-level reports, audits, briefings, policy papers and submissions, facilitate meetings and deliver presentations.
  • Build team capability through coaching, mentoring and performance development. Address underperformance when presented.
