A temporary full-time opportunity to join a team of remote sensing professionals motivated by contributing to a positive environmental legacy for future generations.
We are seeking a person with a strong spatial and remote sensing science background to contribute to the team’s delivery of compliance and investigation services. We deliver scientific expertise to protect and manage our environment and natural resources.
You will be supported in extending your strong scientific knowledge to develop the skills required as an expert witness.

As a senior scientist in the compliance team within the Earth Observation branch, you will assist the Principal Scientist to provide leadership, scientific and technical direction to a team of remote sensing scientists who deliver compliance and investigation services.
The current scope of work includes vegetation management and environmental regulation. You will be mentoring, energising and influencing a small team of remote sensing scientists and collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver high quality, scientifically defensible products based on credible, robust methodologies and approaches. You will be required to undertake expert interpretation of remote sensing information and be able to communicate and translate complex scientific information to a range of audiences.
