Senior Planner, Industrial Land and Infrastructure Strategy team

As a Senior Planner you contribute as part of the impactful and connected Industrial Land and Infrastructure Strategy Team in the Office of the Coordinator-General by facilitating activation of State Development Areas (SDAs) across Queensland. You will work on the development of strategic plans and provide expert advice on industrial and infrastructure planning and development to position SDAs as investment ready opportunities for industry development and to drive economic development through industry and infrastructure delivery.

- Support the delivery of coordinated industry development in State Development Areas, declared and managed under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971.
- Provide high level strategic land use, infrastructure planning and development assessment advice to promote economic development
- Undertake research, analysis and interpretation of complex strategic and statutory land use planning and policy issues relating to industrial development and infrastructure planning.
- Collaborate, communicate and build productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide high level project delivery and team support through leading and implementing effective administrative and statutory processes.
- Assist in project and contract management, including the procurement and oversight of technical consultants undertaking major economic, engineering, environmental and planning studies
- Demonstrate commitment to the Department's corporate values of strong customer service, teamwork, open communication, leadership and innovation.
