About the role
The Healthy Ageing Assessment and Rehabilitation Team is part of the Rehabilitation Service Stream in Community and Oral Health. The Service Stream consists of inpatient and ambulatory services across Metro North including: Brighton Rehabilitation Unit; Interim Care; Brighton Geriatric Evaluation and Management; Community Based Rehabilitation Team (North Lakes, Chermside, Caboolture, Redcliffe) and Healthy Ageing Assessment and Rehabilitation Team- Kallangur and Bribie Island Satellite Health Centres.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver advanced Interdisciplinary (Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy) clinical services of a complex and varied nature for geriatric and rehabilitation care including rehabilitation for persons with neurological conditions, complex medical comorbidities and other conditions in accordance with prescribed own professional and ethical standards, with minimal direct clinical supervision
- Provide timely, high level clinical advice to a range of health professionals, supervisors, managers and stakeholders, both internal and external to the HHS, regarding service delivery, including prioritisation and changes in clinical practice, equipment and technological advances.
- Accountable for the provision of leadership within a legal, professional and ethical framework that ensures contemporary patient care and staff management practices.
