The Executive Support Officer role provides high level executive support and assistance to the Chief Magistrate, Deputy Chief Magistrates, Regional Coordinating Magistrate for the South-West Queensland Region, Magistrates and the Manager in the Chief Magistrates Office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the administrative functions associated with the Office of the Chief Magistrate to provide high quality, confidential administrative support including typing, diary management, organisation of meetings and booking accommodation and travel arrangements.
• Receive, and manage, telephone calls and approaches to the Regional Coordinating Magistrate and Magistrates.
• Maintain effective communication with the judiciary, executive management and staff at all levels and with external parties, and deal with sensitive and/or confidential information in a discretionary and professional manner. 
• Assist with the organisation of official Court events and functions.
• Maintain the presence and professionalism of the Office of the Chief Magistrate through working as part of a dispersed team. 
• Other duties allocated by the Manager of the Office of the Chief Magistrate.
