As Director, Villages Program, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, procurement, and delivery of the Athlete Villages across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Rockhampton. You'll lead complex commercial negotiations,ensure delivery assurance, and coordinate with key stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes aligned with the 2032 Delivery Plan.

Your Strengths - We're looking for a leader who brings;

  • Strategic thinking and leadership to guide high-impact infrastructure projects.
  • Critical analysis and governance expertise to manage risk and ensure compliance.
  • Accountability and results orientation to drive performance and legacy outcomes.
  • Influential communication and relationship-building to engage stakeholders and lead negotiations.
  • Insightful decision-making to support executive government briefings and contract close.

Your Responsibilities - In this role, you will:

  • Lead project management of State requirements for planning, procurement, and delivery of Athlete Villages.
  • Coordinate delivery negotiations and support executive government considerations to achieve contract close.
  • Oversee delivery assurance processes, ensuring contractual compliance and effective project reporting.
  • Align governance, stakeholder engagement, and legacy outcomes across government and Games delivery partners.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and technical advisors.
  • Represent the department at forums and meetings, providing direction and negotiation to support successful outcomes.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Villages Program team, fostering capability,engagement, and performance.
