In this role you will be responsible for delivering outcomes through overseeing successful and efficient governance practices for offender assessment and case management. This will include working with a broad range of stakeholders, experts and operational staff, conducting governance activities, data and trend analysis whilst operating in an evidence-informed approach to achieve outcomes.

The primary accountabilities of the Senior Adviser, Assessment and Case Management Governance include:

  • Assist with the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of assessment and case management governance mechanisms including strategies, policies, tools, templates and guidelines.
  • Implement and conduct quality assurance activities such as desktop reviews and site visits to ensure state-wide consistency in assessment and case management practice.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships and professional networks to understand their needs and be proactive in generating ideas for improvements in assessment and case management governance.
  • Provide timely and relevant advice and recommendations that support the consistent application and integration of offender assessments and case management frameworks.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop sustainable plans for QCS to meet mandatory training for staff and provision of other professional development training as required.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor databases to support performance reporting on assessment and case management practices.
  • Undertake analysis of quantitative and qualitative data sources and report on any issues identified.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in conducting forecasting utilizing data analysis to inform ongoing resourcing requirements for assessments.
  • Develop tools and systems for monitoring and reporting on relevant recommendations stemming from internal/external evaluations and reviews pertaining to assessment and case management practices.
  • Establish, support, and maintain relevant committees/advisory groups/business reference groups to guide the development and implementation of assessment and case management governance practices.
  • Contribute to unit level planning and risk mitigation by remaining current on emerging trends, policy and legislation to drive continuous improvement.
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders conduct research and analysis using an evidence informed analytical approach to inform offender assessment and case management practices and solutions.
  • Maintain own contemporary knowledge and skills in data analysis and research as it relates to assessment and case management governance.
  • Take personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work, demonstrating sound judgement in decision-making, and modelling ethical and respectful behaviour.
  • Develop, maintain, and update end-user focused resources ensuring consistency and quality products.
  • Develop and maintain systems and registers of accredited assessment administrators and master trainers.
