Exciting Opportunity: Senior Project Engagement Advisor:
Join the Customer and Stakeholder Management team at TMR Far North District and play a key role in shaping strategic communications for the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP) across North Queensland. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact on infrastructure delivery in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager (Project and Stakeholder Engagement), you will lead a district-based Customer and Stakeholder Engagement team within a regional framework. As Senior Project Engagement Advisor, you'll drive strategic communications and stakeholder engagement to support the successful delivery of QTRIP projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing expert advice on issues management, stakeholder engagement, and risk assessment to senior leaders and project teams.
• Building strong relationships with ministerial staff, government representatives, community organisations, and key stakeholders.
• Developing and implementing communication strategies for high-risk infrastructure projects, including preparing media releases, newsletters, and speech notes.
• Coordinating community consultations, road openings, media events and other activities to support QTRIP delivery.
• Monitoring regional projects to identify emerging trends and communication risks.
• Preparing high-quality executive correspondence, reports, and briefing materials while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Leading a collaborative, customer-focused team, mentoring staff, and fostering professional development in communication and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications:
While qualifications are not mandatory, a degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing would be highly desirable. The preferred candidate will have proven experience in communications, PR, or related field, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and team management abilities.
