The Principal Business Analyst is responsible for the provision of high level assistance with the analysis of business requirements within a systems development project and solution life cycle management environment.

This includes providing input into Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects and change management activities, as well as technical input, analysis and advice to deliver on systems replacement and future enterprise solutions.

The role will develop agreements and documentation to support clients when reviewing solutions and adopting new information systems, to ensure the needs of the client are met.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:

• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate information and communication technology services pertinent to business needs analysis, within a diverse and complex organisational environment.
• Proven ability to communicate complex information effectively and professionally to operational and support staff and senior executive management in an environment of change.
• Highly developed strategic, conceptual and analytical skills in translating business direction and initiatives into operational plans and discrete project proposals. Thorough knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with the concepts, strategies and issues associated with public sector information management, technology and related services.
• Proven effective client/stakeholder engagement and relationship building capability and commitment to customer service and collaborative teamwork.
• Demonstrated commitment to implement practices which promote a fair and ethical workplace, employment equity, cultural diversity and occupational health and safety.

The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:

• Whilst not mandatory, a relevant tertiary and/or business related qualification will be highly regarded.
