As our Manager, Compliance, you will:
• Lead and manage the team as per organisational policy and best practice in both strategic advice, investigations and personnel management to ensure delivery of premium service capability and ongoing improvement.
• Establish and build a strong compliance unit with capabilities to support complex investigation matters, intelligence gathering and analytics through training and mentoring.
• Model professional and ethical behaviour to achieve and encourage best practice to enhance both NFAEP and Biosecurity Queensland’s reputation.
• In collaboration with internal staff and senior executive, support the development, maintenance and ongoing improvement of compliance and investigations capability across Biosecurity Queensland and the Department.

As our Manager, Compliance, you will:
• Lead and manage the team as per organisational policy and best practice in both strategic advice, investigations and personnel management to ensure delivery of premium service capability and ongoing improvement.
• Establish and build a strong compliance unit with capabilities to support complex investigation matters, intelligence gathering and analytics through training and mentoring.
• Model professional and ethical behaviour to achieve and encourage best practice to enhance both NFAEP and Biosecurity Queensland's reputation.
• In collaboration with internal staff and senior executive, support the development, maintenance and ongoing improvement of compliance and investigations capability across Biosecurity Queensland and the Department.
• Contribute to responses to ministerial queries and progress media/information releases on compliance and investigations matters as per DPI policy and procedure.
• Assist with Program and corporate reporting and planning as required.
• Recruit and manage staff including work allocations, performance, development under DPI HR policy and procedures and contribute to the NFAEP leadership in providing support to Program staff.
• Manage the periodic review and updating, standard operating procedures and guidelines within the role's assigned to the compliance portfolio to maintain alignment with Biosecurity Queensland and DPI requirements and in response to emerging technical, scientific, social or financial information.
• Represent the organisation as a recognised expert as required, represent and/or support senior management in representing the organisation on internal/external committees up to and including inter-jurisdictional working groups.
• Effectively manage assigned budgets
You may also have
• A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or relevant transferable experience would be desirable.
