Join the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning as a Manager in the Regional and Spatial Planning division. The Queensland Government has committed to an ambitious program of delivering new regional plans, with supporting infrastructure plans, covering every corner of Queensland to deliver one million homes by 2044. As a Manager you will lead a team in reviewing and implementing regional plans across the state.

As a Manager - Regional and Spatial Planningyou will:
• Manage, influence and lead the development and delivery of regional plans to achieve the government election commitment. 
• Plan and allocate resources to effectively manage staff to accomplish work goals, drive productivity, and review performance to ensure goal achievement and overall effectiveness. 
• Provide leadership, mentor, coach and develop staff to provide advice on land use planning issues and create a workplace environment that is consistent with the department's culture and values. 
• Coordinate and manage the delivery of research, analysis and interpretation of complex data and trends to inform regional plan policies under relevant legislation, policies and procedures. 
• Collaboratively solve complex problems, build a case for change, and communicate the outcomes effectively. 
• Work collaboratively and negotiate with senior management, project teams, government agencies and external stakeholders to ensure regional planning project outcomes are achieved. 

Additionally for each role, and particularly the Manager (Regional Engagement) will:
• Coordinate, lead and attend meetings, consultation activities, forums, committees and negotiations with a range of internal and external stakeholders. 
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key project stakeholders, including federal and state agencies, local governments, infrastructure entities, industry associations and technical experts. 
• Manage and oversee the preparation of high-quality correspondence, submissions, presentations, briefs and reports on complex and sensitive issues for the delivery of projects.
