Key Duties & Accountabilities
• Develop and implement contemporary and cohesive social media and media
strategies, materials and activities.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the Media and Communication team on the planning and implementation of strategic social media and media activities.
• Liaise with and develop strong, positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including media, government, industry and community stakeholders and organisations.
• Work with internal client areas to identify and develop proactive mainstream and social media opportunities.
• Advise clients on media and social media strategies.
• Create simple graphics and content for use on social media.
• Manage media enquiries (including writing responses, quickly).
• Write media releases.
• Actively participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary communication team
providing a wide range of media and social media services.
• Other duties as directed and required.

Role requirements
• There are no mandatory requirements for this role. However, relevant qualification in a communication related area (i.e. Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing) or demonstrated experience in a media environment is highly desirable.
• Travel away from the work location may be required from time to time. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation.
