This role is a public relations expert who plans, develops, implements and evaluates communication strategies to promote the precincts, their goods and services and their role in the community. It also identifies business development opportunities for the Venues and identifies viable business improvements.
In this role you will:
Identify business development opportunities such as new products and services in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and develop partnership opportunities with key stakeholders, such as local governments, State Sporting Organisations, local tourism bodies, and other key partners.
Coordinate the implementation of business development initiatives, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to plan, resource and execute changes.
Work collaboratively with the department's Communication and Engagement branch to develop and communicate key messages and marketing campaigns that are aligned with departmental policies and procedures.
Coordinate the development and implementation of marketing and promotional activities, and business development opportunities, for the venues in consultation with key stakeholders.
Assist with the review and assessment of venues' existing and proposed programs and services in order to maximise participation and usage of the venues.
Identify new initiatives and activities being adopted by the outdoor recreation and tourism sectors in Queensland, and other jurisdictions, which could be successfully applied at the Venues.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to assist the Venues achieve their vision of being exemplars to the industry.

Citizenship/Visa Requirements
You must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work in Australia. If you are not an Australian citizen you will need to provide evidence of your residency status or visa, with your right to work (including any conditions / restrictions). You are required to notify the department if your right to work in Australia ceases.
Mandatory Credentials
You must hold a C Class Driver's Licence.
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
This role provides education, coaching and/or support services to children and young people and requires a valid Blue Card with the department. You will need to provide a copy of your blue card, which will be validated prior to engagement.
