Clinical Nurse - Research Coordination

An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse (CN) in Research Coordination to join our Clinical Research Unit. The CN Research role is part of the Cancer Care Clinical Trials Unit and will be responsible for facilitating research and clinical trials in a centralised trials team, as the lead Study Coordinator. This position will provide clinical support to patients enrolled in clinical trials, and lead in the development, management, and coordination of trials.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Complete all requirements for local start-up, Governance approval and ongoing submission of relevant documents
- Communicate professionally with the study team and internal and external stakeholders/sponsors
- Provide expert advice in relation to clinical treatment, side effects and chemotherapy related events
- Ensure support staff are confident and prepared for all patient visits, maintain patient safety and preventing protocol violations
Temporary full time position for 12 months
Remuneration value up to $131 900 p.a., comprising salary between $107 960 - $115 604 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6(1) (temporary position available for 12 months). Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy.
