We are seeking a proactive & detail-oriented Biosecurity Support Officer to join our team at Plant Biosecurity & Product Integrity (PB&PI). In this role, you will:
• Provide critical administrative, systems & operational support to the PB&PI Operations team.
• Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to support biosecurity initiative.
• Oversee & contribute to document management standards, ensuring quality & effective information management, including maintaining PBPI SharePoint systems.
• Support the development & delivery of operational program initiatives, plans & proposals to enhance program outcomes.
• Draft high-quality documents & communications tailored to diverse audiences.

Plant Biosecurity and Product Integrity (PBPI) - The PBPI Program has an integral role in delivering BQ's vision of leading the delivery of innovative, customer focused biosecurity services for Queensland. The Program's goal is to protect Queensland's agricultural industries, environment and communities from plant pests and diseases and facilitate trade in high quality, safe agricultural products.

As a Biosecurity Support Officer, you will play a vital role in providing operational and administrative support to the Operations Manager, Senior Principal Biosecurity Officers, and the broader PB&PI team. You will assist in delivering program initiatives, managing information systems, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of biosecurity operations and compliance activities.

Key activities include:
• Provide systems and operational support to the Plant Biosecurity and Product Integrity Operations Manager, Senior Principal Biosecurity Officers, and the broader program team.
• Oversee and contribute to maintaining document quality and management standards, ensuring effective use of PB&PI SharePoint systems and other information management tools.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and review of operational program initiatives, plans, and proposals to improve outcomes for the operations team.
• Draft clear, concise, and high-quality documents, ensuring they are tailored to the intended audience for clarity and consistency.
• Represent Biosecurity Queensland to internal and external stakeholders, working collaboratively to support biosecurity initiatives.
