Role details

The Capital Projects team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Project Manager to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

  • To lead, manage and direct one or more medium to large scale projects within the constraints of scope, budget, schedule and quality while ensuring they are completed within the Queensland Health project management methodology (Project Lifecycle).
  • Implement and maintain adequate policy, processes, systems, and internal control to ensure effective and efficient support for the coordination and delivery of the Capital Works Program.
  • Provide budgetary, financial, and technical support for the Capital Delivery Program in order to enable the smooth operation of the projects.

About the Team

Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services along with the Capital Projects team provide planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all district physical facilities, engineering systems, plant, and equipment to meet strategic objectives within a quality environment.  The unit currently consists of professional, operational, administrative and trade staff.  The projects team assist with planning, design, and delivery of small to medium size projects enabled with the use of project methodologies to deliver quality outcomes with a high level of governance initiatives, across the whole of the Mackay HHS.
