As a Senior Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of contractor safety compliance across IMD projects.
You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety systems are robust, effective, and continuously improved.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
• Support internal contractor safety compliance programs, including reviewing safety plans, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Investigate and analyse contractor incidents to identify improvement opportunities for the safety management system.
• Prepare detailed reports on contractor safety performance and contribute to strategic safety planning.
• Assist in the development and review of contractor safety assurance content (e.g. standards, procedures, guidance, tools).
• Analyse WHS performance data to identify trends and support the development of effective reporting tools.
We're seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal and communication skills who can build meaningful relationships, understand stakeholder needs, and clearly convey complex safety issues. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving, with the ability to critically analyse information, identify challenges, and influence strategies to enhance safety outcomes. A solid understanding of relevant legislation, policy, and planning frameworks is essential, along with the capability to collaboratively evaluate options and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
