An AO6 Governance and Assurance Lead vacancy is available in the Governance and Business division of the Queensland Revenue Office.

Leading a small team, your role will involve corporate planning and reporting, contributing to organisational projects, and collaborating with various business areas, stakeholders, and senior management to cultivate an accountable culture and enhance the organisation’s management of risk.

Your typical day as a Governance and Assurance Lead may include:
• Providing advice and support to stakeholders on governance activities (i.e. audit, complaints) and enterprise risk management to meet agreed objectives and deadlines. 
• Prepare and contribute to comprehensive briefing notes, high-level papers and reports.
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, through regular engagement.
• Coach and mentor direct report(s) to continuously improve and build capability, promoting understanding and awareness of governance and risk environment, systems, practices and processes.
•  Driving and supporting the identification and co-ordination of continuous improvement of team functions, practices, processes and activities.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
• Knowledge and experience in leading and supporting good governance and enterprise risk management practices and processes.
• Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including negotiation and consultation, skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing work priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
• Your experience as it relates to the key responsibilities of the role.
