The Capital Assets and Facilities Management Group manages the Queensland Police Service property portfolio across the state. We are responsible for delivering capital works, minor works, maintenance, property management and accommodation solutions. We are seeking a Project Officer to join our dynamic Minor Works team. In this role, you will manage and deliver a variety of minor works projects. Your focus will be to deliver contemporary and cost-effective accommodation projects including refurbishments, fit outs and relocations.

We are responsible for delivering capital works, minor works, maintenance, property management and accommodation solutions. We are seeking a Project Officer to join our dynamic Minor Works team. In this role, you will manage and deliver a variety of minor works projects. Your focus will be to deliver contemporary and cost-effective accommodation projects including refurbishments, fit outs and relocations. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders, other government agencies and service providers to ensure successful project outcomes.
Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Manage and deliver capital works projects including coordinating input from technical and operational areas, and monitoring time, cost and quality.
• Prepare and present reports, submissions and correspondence.
• Review documentation and conduct onsite inspections of current projects to ensure compliance with the project brief.
• Conduct site post-occupancy inspections and report on effectiveness of design from a functional and operational viewpoint.
• Undertake program management and monitor budget expenditure for allocated projects including reporting to all stakeholders.
