This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position.
As the Gazette Publishing Coordinator, you will:
• Maintain strict confidentiality on all information received prior to gazettal.
• Use Microsoft Office products and Adobe FrameMaker program to produce individual proofs and/or the publication of Gazettes to set professional and accessible
standards (training will be provided).
• Upload the approved weekly editions and any Extraordinary Gazettes received under irregular or urgent circumstances.
• Administer all advertisement sales, placement and proofing and preparing costs and quotations for all gazettal products and related services.
• Manage records, updating statistical information and file storage, adhering to classification and naming conventions and departmental recordkeeping procedures.
• Upkeep training manuals and modules, supporting and providing direct feedback to customers in the preparation and supply of electronic files in the most appropriate format for gazettal products.
• Remain flexible and managing competing demands under tight timeframes and multi-tasking when in high pressure situations.
• Use high level interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills with attention to detail to answer historic gazettal queries and research issues.
• Work with the team for continuous development of contingency plans, managing risk and update of templates and processes after Machinery-of-Government changes.
• Be flexible during disaster management periods to meet Community Recovery gazettal requirements.
• Apply your digital publishing skills to support the Gazette publishing and provide general business support to the Operations Branch as required.
