Your role within Housing and Homelessness Services will support the department to Develop, implement, deliver and manage learning and development programs for housing and homelessness services. The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.

Service Delivery, Housing and Homelessness Services provides a range of services, products and referrals to offer housing solutions for diverse customer groups.

You will lead and coordinate the design, development and delivery of service delivery transformation initiatives aimed at achieving a holistic and person-centred practice which links customers to the support they need to improve their wellbeing and self- reliance, and access and sustain safe and secure tenancies.

What you will be doing:
• Lead and coordinate the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of service delivery transformation initiatives with a focus on integrated service delivery and improving customer access and pathways, using human centred design principles and co-design processes.
• Establish effective partnerships and influence others in the development and implementation of service delivery initiatives that improve the department's capacity to respond to the housing needs of vulnerable customers with complex and challenging needs.
• Develop and implement project plans applying an agile project management methodology to deliver timely, high quality project outcomes, manage risks and emerging issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee and prepare high quality documents recommendations to senior management on complex service development issues, policy and operational issues.
• Develop and maintain effective networks and relationships with internal and external stakeholders including government and non-government agencies to deliver project outcomes.
• Conduct research and maintain contemporary knowledge of person-centred service delivery policy and practice.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the team, identifying clear objectives and deadlines, provide support and guidance to team members.
• Manage staff, physical and financial resources in accordance with relevant legislation, strategic objectives, Queensland Government and departmental policies and contemporary best practice standards.
• Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.

The skills you will need include being able to: 
• Led change, acted on opportunities for integration across boundaries and championed innovative ideas and solutions by being future-orientated in analysis, thought and action.
• Ability to organise resources to achieve results, build group capability and measure and monitor the performance of your team. Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicate in a way that promotes trust, respect and integrity, and negotiate successful outcomes without compromising relationships.
• Superior written and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships, communicate, negotiate, influence, network and consult at all levels within Government and with external stakeholders.
