About the Role
As Senior Review Team Leader, you'll play a critical leadership role in QLeave's internal review process, ensuring fairness, transparency, and consistency in decision-making. You'll lead and mentor the Review and Assurance team members, have delegated decision-making power for internal review applications, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance QLeave's administrative decision-making processes. Your expertise will help shape organisational improvements and contribute to a culture of learning and collaboration.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assess internal review applications and prepare recommendations for endorsement
- Make internal review decisions as a delegated internal review decision maker
- Undertake quality assurance assessments of Review Officers' recommendations and provide feedback, as required
- Provide technical and system management training and support to team members
- Lead and mentor Review and Assurance team members and identify individual training needs
- Research and interpret complex legislation, regulatory and policy frameworks relating to internal reviews, to prepare advice and resolve problems
- Liaise with other business units, to make recommendations to improve their processes.
- Analyse and report on work activity, identifying any trends, inconsistencies or issues
- Contribute towards development and implementation of organisational improvement programs.
- Support the Manager, Review and Assurance in achieving QLeave's strategic and operational goals.

- demonstrate legislative interpretation skills to review recommendations, prepare high quality written assessments, briefings, memoranda, reports and correspondence
- comprehensively research, interpret and critically analyse legislation and related policies to make recommendations and decisions
- confidently present communication in a clear, concise and articulate manner
- build and sustain relationships with a network of key people internally and externally, proactively offering assistance for a mutually beneficial relationship
- have the ability to lead and manage a small team
- have an ability to independently make internal review decisions
- support organisational improvement of processes, procedures and capability
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, however a degree qualification in law and experience in administrative decision-making would be highly desirable.
