We're seeking a seasoned security expert to lead a new team and drive the development of cohesive security policies and frameworks that combine dynamic and physical security measures. As Director Security Standards Unit, you'll play a critical role in embedding a culture of safety and security management, supporting the safe operations of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Establish and maintain a suitably qualified and experienced team to deliver the required remit.
  • Technical Delivery: Develop and maintain a robust framework for custodial security systems, including monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Security Policy Development: Oversee the development, approval, and deployment of a comprehensive Security Policy framework catering for QCS infrastructure operational technology contexts.
  • Cyber Security Implementation: Develop a cyber security implementation roadmap for Operational Technology specific to Electronic Security Systems.
  • Infrastructure Risk Management: Establish an Infrastructure Risk Management Framework to determine prioritisation and mitigation of safety and security risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Digital and Information Technology Command, Infrastructure Command teams, and other stakeholders to support functional delivery and as-intended use.

Your Expertise:

  • Complex Electronic Security Systems: In-depth experience and knowledge of high-level interfaced electronic security systems within a complex operational
    environment or containment facility.
  • Senior Leadership: Proven ability to create a high-performing team culture and outcomes, with experience in establishing and embedding new standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Strategy Development: Experience in developing strategies, policies, and procedures for complex assets within a high-risk security environment.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong planning and commercial acumen, with exceptional communication skills.
  • Project Management: Sound experience in managing high-value infrastructure technology projects, ideally within a corrections or high-security environment.
