The DFV Court Coordinators are part of the DFV Court Program and lead ongoing development and implementation of the specialist domestic and family violence court justice response and support courts responses to the DFV reform agenda. DFV Court Coordinators are responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders while also monitoring progress of the court’s integrated response to DFV.

The DFV Court Coordinator, (Cairns Specialist DFV Court) position is based at the Cairns Courthouse. Travel to other locations may also be required on occasion. The DFV Court Coordinator (Focused Support Sites) is based at the Ipswich Courthouse and supports DFV responses in four court locations: Ipswich, Toowoomba, Pine Rivers and Caboolture. These DFV courts receive focusedsupport from the DFV court program through the DFV Court Coordinator.

• Lead the delivery of high-quality court registry practice with respect to DFV proceedings.
• Establish, lead, and maintain supportive relationships with stakeholders including staff, government, and non-government stakeholders. 
• Collaborate with services operating in the court to drive the necessary court and stakeholder strategies that support integrated responses to DFV, including the setting of priorities and implementing projects within set timeframes. 
• With other members of the team, establish procedures and protocols to support the DFV court's operation. 
• Monitor the operation of the DFV court including coordinating wrap-around support services to support the DFV court.
• Implement and maintain high quality data collection processes for the purposes of reporting, monitoring, and evaluating the operation of the DFV court.
• Act as a conduit between Courts Innovation Program (CIP), the DFV Court Program and the registry, ensuring operational consistency with the broader DFV Court Program and DFV reform agenda.
• Oversee progress of the specialist DFV court justice response to DFV against identified objectives and report on operations to the Operations Manager and Director, DFV Court Program.,. 
• Support the Operations Manager and Director, DFV Court Program, providing subject matter expertise regarding the operational aspects of registry DFV responses, and undertaking discrete projects as directed.
• Identify, research, develop and analyse complex program issues, inform associated policy and procedure development, and collaboratively develop evidence-based solutions.
• Support, contribute and cultivate cultural capability within the operations of programs established under CIP to assist vulnerable people coming into contact with the justice system.
