The Operations Support Officer plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) through facilities and digital services support. This role provides critical administrative assistance, coordinates facility bookings and maintenance, supports digital troubleshooting, and communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with various teams, this role helps maintain a high-performing, inclusive, and professional environment aligned with QAS values and service standards. 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Digital Services Support: 
• Provide technical input and assist to troubleshoot desktop issues, provide timely resolutions for end-users and undertake preventative maintenance and routine repairs. 
• Liaise with our managed service provider to report and resolve technical issues, updating staff on progress throughout. 
• Investigate and resolve issues related to equipment in meeting rooms and escalating to the Digital Services Manager where required. Develop procedures and guidelines for the use of equipment.

Facilities Support: 
• Coordinate and administer the booking of facilities for QAS supported sports at both the Nathan and Chandler sites in collaboration with the QAS Facilities Officer. 
• Assist the QAS Facilities Officer in booking and overseeing routine maintenance activities. 
• Assist QAS staff in the booking and set up of rooms for meetings, all-staff forums and other sports related events. 

Operations Support:
• Monitor central email inboxes, communicating with internal and external stakeholder to resolve queries/issues, and escalating where required. 
• Provide regular updates on ongoing tasks, issues, and resolutions to management and stakeholders. 
• Maintain accurate records of facility-related and digital service support activities.
