This position is based in Brisbane and flexible work arrangements can be considered upon application, including working from home for up to two days per week and working remotely at a Regional QBCC office (subject to availability)
Please note: The QBCC Brisbane office will be relocating from West End to the Brisbane CBD at the end of 2025
Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
- Investigate licensees suspected of breaching legislation and licensing requirements.
- Take licensing action for breaches of legislation and licensing requirements, including licence cancellation, licence suspension, reprimanding a licensee and the imposition of licence conditions.
- Commence disciplinary actions against licensees for breaches of legislation and licensing requirements.

Candidate Attributes
- Within a regulatory context, a senior level ability to interpret, apply and provide advice on Building Industry legislation and policy.
- Manage cases using investigation, research, problem solving, decision-making, planning and report writing skills.
- Contribute to the team to achieve outcomes and effective work relationships including mentoring and providing quality control supervision of the work of other staff.
- Senior level written, oral and digital communication skills, and comprehensive information systems and customer relationship experience.
