About us 
The Ticketing Operations team supports ticketing and passenger information services for traveling customers and delivery partners on TMR rail, bus and ferry networks across QLD. 
Smart Ticketing is transforming the way customers can travel on public transport by delivering new innovative ticketing technology to Queenslanders. The Smart Ticketing solution extends the range of payment options available to customers for travel to include mediums such as bank cards, smart phones and wearable smart devices. 
This initiative supports Department of Transport and Main Roads commitment to provide Queenslanders with transport solutions that are affordable, cost-effective and able to adapt to future growth and technology.

Key responsibilities
In the role of Advisor (Equipment and Performance) you will be responsible for managing all facets of ticket equipment with the contracted supplier and delivery partners (across all modes of Bus, Ferry, Light Rail and Heavy Rail) on behalf of Translink.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Stakeholder Engagement - Coordinate actions with equipment suppliers, bus manufacturers, and delivery partners, while building strong communication and business relationships.
• Project Support - Assist in transport projects (e.g., equipment installations, station upgrades, passenger displays, inspections) and ensure procurement and quality standards are met.
• Equipment & Inventory Management - Track weekly ticketing equipment holdings, ensure stock availability, and use performance data to refine preventative maintenance strategies.
• Lifecycle Planning - Oversee decommissioning, warranty processes, and repair timeliness to maximise ticket equipment availability.
• Supplier Performance and Safety Inspections - Monitor supplier compliance, conduct site visits, and analyse operational data to inform decisions on equipment performance.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions 
• C Class Drivers License

Desirable requirements of the role
• Project Management Qualifications 
• Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team or project
• Experience in government or a large and diverse organization
• Experience with Ticketing Equipment and Passenger Information Systems
• Experience in collaborating and engaging business areas and service delivery partners
