Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Lead the Land Management Team to deliver Development Assessment and Compliance functions on behalf of the region, to ensure the impacts of proposed developments on road transport infrastructure controlled by TMR are assessed and that appropriate conditions of approval to ameliorate those impacts are negotiated, constructed and monitored.
• Contribute to the department's input to the planning schemes of local government and other government agencies in relation to transport and land use planning issues, to maximise consistency between the state-controlled road network and land use planning.
• Liaise and consult with local government, internal and external stakeholders on the development and implementation of relevant policies and procedures and to maintain knowledge of future land use planning and development trends and influence the outcomes of such forward planning and development, in the interests of the department's requirements.
• Ensure that timely and accurate responses are provided to enquiries on the effects of future transport infrastructure proposals on property, in particular with respect to the conveyancing process in land transactions.
• Prepare Ministerial correspondence and briefing notes on development related matters, which may be of a nature to influence high level government decisions.
