Role details
The BreastScreen Service at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse Counsellor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
To assist with the delivery of a quality breast cancer screening and assessment service that operates in accordance with relevant policies and protocols of the BreastScreen Queensland Program and Queensland Health and that meets the BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards, for the women who reside in our region. To assist, implement and maintain the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
About the Team
The BreastScreen Queensland Mackay Service provides screening mammograms within the guidelines of the BreastScreen Australia and the BreastScreen Queensland Programs. These programs are funded through Commonwealth/State to provide a free population-based mammography screening and assessment service to women over the age of 40 years. The service seeks to provide a first-class service to women employing state of the art equipment and providing high level training for all its staff members. Staff members operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a philosophy of excellence.
