Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead and coordinate the major and periodic releases through non-production to production environments.
• Prepare and obtain approval for the Release and Deployment Plan for each release.
• Maintain the change record and change record approval discussions for production deployment in line with agreed change lead times, ensuring evidence of functional requirements, testing and business acceptance of the change.
• Facilitate the release and deployment and Change Advisory Board to provide governance over the registration and licensing systems portfolio of services.
• Apply the Enterprise Release Management (ERM) Policy to mature the release and deployment process across ITBs release calendar.
• Promote the wider Project to Production (P2P) framework that guides projects to deliver services into the TMR production environment and into full production support and maintenance.
To be considered suitable for the role you will have:
• Technical Expertise: Knowledge of ITIL practices, particularly around change and configuration management. ITIL foundations qualification is desirable.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Competence in analysing complex data and processes related to change and release management. Critical thinking skills to assess situations, identify risks, issues, and generate solutions and options. Problem-solving abilities to address change and release challenges.
• Organisational Abilities: Strong planning and coordination skills to manage complex timelines and release schedules. Competence in prioritising tasks and resources in a dynamic environment.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills to engage with team members, project teams, stakeholders, and clients. Ability to negotiate and consult effectively, fostering positive working relationships and collaborating with diverse groups.
• While not mandatory, a tertiary and/or post-graduate qualifications in information technology or equivalent would be highly regarded.

This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the TMR Agreement conditions apply to this position.
