he Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) provides localised service delivery across the departmental priority areas of employment and training.
The effective departmental service delivery is achieved through the regulation of the state's apprenticeship and traineeship system; strategic training and skills investment strategies; informing consumers about the suite of departmental programs including supporting a quality vocational education and training (VET) sector, Skilling Queenslanders for Work and providing whole of government leadership on employment and training issues.
If you're passionate about growing your capabilities, making a positive impact and contributing to a dynamic and purpose-driven team, we encourage you to apply.
We're committed to understanding how your strengths align with the role, which includes:
• Proven expertise in program and project management, along with deep knowledge of Queensland's vocational education and training (VET) and industry sectors.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, supported by your ability to research and interpret data, identify trends, and present findings clearly through reports and presentations that drive departmental goals.
• Relationship-building skills that count—you can work collaboratively with stakeholders, team members, and leadership to deliver results and meet business objectives.
• Excellent planning and organisational abilities, with a track record of meeting deadlines, producing quality work, and managing competing priorities in a resultsfocused environment.
• Outstanding communication and advisory skills, allowing you to provide trusted, independent advice—both written and verbal—to senior officers on complex issues.
We value what each individual brings, and we're excited to see how you can contribute to our shared success.
