The Fleet Services team within Asset Services provides centralised state-wide fleet management services to Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships (QPWS&P) and works closely with Regional fleet/asset coordinators and Rangers to operationally and strategically manage over 2,500 owned and hundreds of leased fleet assets.

The team leads the fleet capital planning process, manages relationships with key suppliers, establishes and manages contracts, oversees, and manages vehicle leasing through QFleet, coordinates the fleet maintenance program tracking compliance and expenditure, and strategically manages the lifecycle of the fleet ensuring cost effective and fit for purpose outcomes through the implementation of asset management principles, strategic planning, innovation, and continuous business improvement.
The Team Leader, Fleet Services is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of staff within the team and ensuring that the services and deliverables of the team are coordinated, managed, and monitored effectively. You will be required to provide leadership, advice and direction and will work closely with the Manager of the area to ensure there is effective two-way communication and to ensure any issues relating to service delivery or team performance are raised and addressed. This position provides expert advice to the Manager, Fleet Services, and regional coordinators on fleet asset management, maintenance and repairs, fit out and configuration, specifications, operational matters, lifecycle management, capital investment, and risk management of the fleet portfolio. You will provide input and support on fleet procurement specifications, monitor repair requests from regions and provide advice to the Team Leader and Manager on repair vs disposal.
You will be responsible for the management, planning, analysis, coordination, and completion of complex projects.
