As the Principal Program Officer, you will be part of an energetic team developing and implementing innovative programs that create positive outcomes for Queensland individuals and businesses. About the role
As the Principal Program Officer, you will:
• Collaborate and assist the Director, VET Programs and Investment and Program Managers to design, manage and evaluate a range of programs and strategies that support training and skills outcomes.
• Contribute to program and project development, implementation, high-level planning, financial and human resource management, and operations management.
• Provide strategic advice and direction on the coordination and delivery of training and skills programs across Skills Investment as required.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with high level internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor projects and programs.
What we are looking for
The position requires an applicant who can:
• Conduct high-level research, analysis and review of complex policy issues, proposals and legislation, and manage the implementation of appropriate actions.
• Manage programs and resolve problems by applying logical, solutions-focused and forward-thinking approaches to achieving outcomes and managing risk.
• Design, analyse and implement new programs, including consultation with stakeholders within the Department and across government agencies.
• Provide and contribute to the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to implement targeted VET and skilling programs and initiatives.
