Temp Senior Advisor (Project Assurance)


Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade Project; Rail Infrastructure Delivery; Rail; Buderim or Beerburrum

As the Senior Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Project Director by acting as a critical link between the Project Director and his direct reports, as well as between the Project Director and the General Manager, ensuring seamless communication and the delivery of high-quality outputs in a fast-paced project delivery environment.

You will act as the primary contact for the Project Director, exercising discretion in handling sensitive issues, providing insightful advice and identifying and coordinating responses to emerging risks and issues across the B2N program of works.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Manage preparation of reports, papers and presentations for endorsement and decision by Project Supervisory Board, Project Steering Committee and Project Leadership Team.
• Manage preparation of agendas, minutes, decision logs and action logs for governance meetings and ensure agreed actions are implemented and monitored as to their effectiveness.
• Engage with a broad range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, to research, analyse, make recommendations, and prepare responses for the Project Director, including ministerials, briefing papers, submissions, and reports on critical and sensitive matters, often under extremely tight deadlines. 
• Brief the Project Director or their representative effectively to ensure thorough preparation for internal and external meetings.
• Manage incoming correspondence and queries; draft outgoing correspondence on behalf of the Project Director, securing approvals and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Assist the Manager (Governance, Compliance and Controls) in managing and delivering on HR, facilities and administration matters. 
• Encourage and actively promote a proactive, performance focused culture within the team. Actively participate in performance conversations to build and support an environment of continual improvement.
