Join QBuild as a temporary until 30 June 2026 Regional Delivery Manager to provide all operational and delivery activities within the region. This includes the coordination of human and financial resources to ensure maintenance and construction programs are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.

QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About the role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry. The role is accountable for day-to-day operations and leads a team responsible for the planning, scheduling and delivery of all operational services to customers, as well as the proactive and upstream contract management and supervision of industry-based service providers.
Duties and skills involved:
- Developing and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
- Ensuring a culture of customer focus and continuous improvement and developing and implementing any necessary systems and processes that monitor and optimise productivity.
- As part of the regional leadership team, establishing annual budgets, performance indicators and manage the financial activities.
- In partnership with the Client and Program Manager, efficiently delivering programs of work across the region to meet client needs.
- Actively implementing programs to develop the skills of all staff employed in the region to maximise their potential and effectiveness.
- Achieving operational objectives through effective planning and utilisation of resources, including the ability to successfully manage a commercially-oriented organisation in the Building Construction and Maintenance Industry, or similar, within the Public Sector.
- Successfully delivering all regional program and project activity through planning and utilisation of internal and external resources and the use of sophisticated financial, risk management and reporting principles and techniques.
- Being a champion of change and ensure effective working relationships through continuous development and encouragement of individual and teams.
- Day-to-day partnering with Industry and customers to ensure the successful delivery of all QBuild services.
- Leading the successful delivery of all Building Contract Management and administration activities providing efficient and effective frameworks are used for contract and contractor performance, documentation, assessment, extension and payments.
- Proactively managing the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.
