Policy and Correspondence Officer
Policy and Projects Unit; Victim Assist Queenland; Victim Support; South Brisbane
The Policy and Correspondence Officer will be responsible for efficiently managing correspondence and drafting timely responses to a broad range of departmental correspondence.
The position also supports the analysis, development and implementation of victim-centric and trauma-informed policy, practice, and procedures, utilising data and performance information to improve service delivery to support victims of crime.

Key responsibilities:
- Draft submissions, briefs, ministerial and departmental correspondence and policy advice.
- Assist in the development and management of strategic policy projects through to implementation.
- Conduct research and analysis and utilise data and performance information to provide policy advice on the impacts of proposed policy reforms for VAQ.
- Assist in the development of operational policies and procedures to guide consistent service delivery across VAQ.
- Liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders on proposed reforms to provide policy advice that considers potential impacts on VAQ operations and develops strategies to support implementation.
- Consult with relevant statutory bodies, departments, non-government organisations and community groups on policy matters to inform business and service delivery improvements.
- Undertake other work as directed including administrative duties, as required.
