QBuild is seeking qualified Electricians to join our SEQ Teams. Become part of a department committed to helping people all over Queensland. Help us build and maintain government-owned assets, including schools, social housing, and healthcare facilities. Support in the government’s response to disaster events and take a lead role in training the next generation of tradespeople.

QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government.  It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.

Mandatory Requirements  

  • Eligibility to work in Australia  
  • Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence (Minimum of Electrical Mechanic) 
  • Electrical trade certificate/qualification (minimum of Certificate III Electrotechnology) 
  • Current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and low voltage rescue certificate 
  • Current Construction Industry White Card 
  • Current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent 
  • Working knowledge and compliance with current work health, safety and environmental legislation and codes of practice including knowledge and understanding of AS/NZ3000 (The Wiring Rules), Electrical Safety Act 2002, Electrical Safety Regulations 2013, and applicable Electrical Codes of Practice 2013 

About the role 

You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by providing essential services to government-owned assets, including construction, maintenance, and restoration. Support the government's response to disaster events and take a lead role in training the next generation of tradespeople.
