This position supports the role of the General Counsel, who is responsible for managing very complex legal risks and challenges, directing and delivering civil legal services across a range of multi-disciplinary areas to ensure the QPS has a sound integrated legal foundation for all its operations and activities.
Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Manage the administrative operations of Office of the General Counsel and provide executive support, including preparing itineraries, travel arrangements and corporate card management to the General Counsel and other senior officers in the General Counsel Office.
- Coordinate and facilitate forums and committees, including the delivery of professional secretariat services as required.
- Develop, maintain and improve systems, business processes, practices and procedures to ensure the effective management and confidentiality of correspondence, records and data relating to legal matters hearings.
- Develop and maintain effective communications and collaborative working relationships with executive, senior officers, support staff and liaise and consult with a range of internal and external stakeholders on behalf of senior management with high levels of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
- Initiate research, participate in projects, prepare data and informative material and assist in the coordination and delivery of executive level presentations in support of the statutory functions of the Office of the General Counsel.
- Prioritise and manage competing demands in order to meet statutory requirements and deadlines for legal matters.
Role Requirements:
