Manage external suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services for industry programs, as well as overseeing the efficient utilisation of industry facilities and preparing capital and minor works submissions.
Develop, manage, and maintain a client network for ongoing business contracts in the centre’s industries, while assessing quotations, developing business plans, and joint venture proposals to optimise profitability and revenue generation through inmate labour.
Provide supervision and monitoring for emerging issues and risks that may arise outside of regular hours on a rotating 24x7 on-call basis; providing immediate and direct oversight, support and guidance to on-site Correctional Supervisors, and, the conduit to senior leadership for matters requiring higher delegation and / or briefing.

- Strong interpersonal skills for effective negotiations on complex issues, managing contracts and relationships with external providers, and building and maintaining ongoing working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience in leading and motivating others to meet the challenges of demanding work roles, as well as managing staff, providing direction, and conducting performance assessments for a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to build and manage ongoing working relationships demonstrating proficiency in community engagement, stakeholder liaison, and working with special interest groups, particularly in the criminal justice system.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels, to gain commitments and negotiate service delivery, priorities, deadlines, resources and other relevant issues, and promote the importance of prisoners' attendance and participation in employment opportunities.
- Proficient knowledge and experience in the application of risk management strategies and methodologies to ensure the identification and mitigation of risk.
- Ability to resolve issues and competing demand conflict, as well as highly developed communication skills for dealing with enquiries and training staff in standards and processes.
- Knowledge of financial and resource management in the monitoring of budgets in accordance with financial requirements.
