As the Director, Human Resources, you will:
• Lead and Manage: Oversee the HR Business Partner team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, managing contracts, deadlines, and risks.
• Mentor and Develop: Foster a culture of performance excellence by mentoring and coaching team members to build HR capability and ensure alignment with
organisational goals.
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and projects that align with organisational priorities and legislative frameworks.
• Provide Expert Advice: Offer high-level strategic and policy advice to senior leadership on matters such as industrial relations, enterprise bargaining, performance management, and organisational development.
• HR Reporting and Analysis: Deliver effective HR metrics and analysis to inform decision-making and organisational strategy.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the department in strategic forums and committees.
• Policy and Compliance: Ensure HR policies and procedures are regularly updated in line with legislation and contemporary practices.
• Workforce Planning: Lead the development and implementation of workforce management, succession planning, and other HR initiatives to meet the department's current and future needs.
As a leader in Queensland Government, you will display outstanding judgement, integrity, ethics and probity, strong agility to adapt to a constantly changing environment, a strong achievement orientation, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
