Key Responsibilities include:

* Risk Management & Compliance: Develop, manage, and administer risk management and training frameworks to ensure venue operations are safe, compliant with legislation, and aligned with industry best practices. Ensure compliance with departmental risk, work health and safety (WHS), and legislative requirements.

* Leadership & Training: Lead the training team in delivering accredited and nonaccredited training programs, ensuring Sport and Recreation has the capacity to meet internal and external training needs.

* Expert Advice & Program Development: Provide expert advice to influence the development, scope, and implementation of sport and recreation activities and programs.

* Research & Analysis: Conduct research and detailed analysis to support effective venue service delivery and training, ensuring projects are completed within budget and program constraints.

* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including national and international suppliers, to coordinate procurement, contracts, and project documentation.

* Business Integrity & Reporting: Maintain accurate business information, resolve complex issues, and ensure effective recording, maintenance, and reporting of financial and project data.

* Committee Support: Provide expert advice and support to the Risk and Safety Committee and sub-committees to oversee risk management and WHS frameworks.

* Administrative Coordination: Prepare plans, performance reports, briefing notes, financial and procurement documents, and other project-related materials.

This role combines leadership, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and administrative expertise to ensure safe and effective operations across venues and precincts.

Your suitability will be evaluated against the Team Leader stream of the Leadership Competencies for Queensland framework.

The assessment focuses on your past experiences, knowledge, skills, personal qualities, and potential for development, in alignment with the role's accountabilities.
