Executive Support Officer

The Executive Support Officer is responsible for providing executive level support to the Executive Director, Finance through high level diary and travel management, coordination and management of correspondence, general administrative support, secretariat support, event coordination and broad ranging project activities.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
• Demonstrated understanding, or the ability to rapidly acquire a high level of understanding of the structure, roles, functions and services of the QAS.
• Demonstrated experience in the preparation, coordination and management of high-level correspondence, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Proven experience in providing professional executive support to high-level managerial positions in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and limited resources.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate, concise reports, submissions and correspondence.
• Demonstrated high level attention to detail and organisational skills, including the ability to set and review priorities and manage multiple complex projects within tight deadlines, with a high level of autonomy.
• Well-developed research and evaluation skills with the capacity to develop a range of options and strategies applicable to organisational situations.
• Good relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively consult and negotiate with influence across a broad range of clients and stakeholders.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
• The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
