Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining database tables and data pipelines, working with the Oracle databases and data warehouse, SQL Server databases, and AWS cloud environment. Under the guidance of the senior team members, perform data validation, cleansing, and analysis to ensure data accuracy and compliance with governance and information security standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality, fit-for-purpose solutions to ingest, integrate, process, and make available data from various sources using a variety of ETL, data integration and data visualisation tools and techniques, to support asset management planning and decision-making, and network-wide reporting and analysis.
• Respond to data requests from internal and external customers by collaborating with customers to clarify and document requirements, developing SQL queries to extract and transform data from Oracle or SQL Server databases, and ensuring data is delivered accurately, in the required format, within agreed timeframes.
• Contribute to the maintenance of documentation such as data dictionaries,metadata guides, and other documentation to support data governance, ensuring compliance with information security and data quality standards.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to clarify data requirements and provide operational support for data solutions, whilst assisting in identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to their implementation.

To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Experience in supporting the management and maintenance of data environments, including familiarity with Oracle databases, SQL Server databases, and AWS cloud environment, and proficiency in data processing, validation, and reporting, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness, including the ability to develop SQL queries and scripts to extract and transform data to meet customer requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to address data challenges and recommend practical solutions, including the ability to identify trends and insights from data to support decision-making.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and stakeholders, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to contribute to and maintain high-quality documentation and reports.
• A proactive approach to learning and applying new tools and techniques, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in information technology, data science, computer science, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
